Red and Black Day

Look at the colourful masks we made on Red and Black Day. We used red and black colours for the decorations. We came to school wearing red and black clothes too. Red and black are Canterbury colours. We brought gold coins to help the people in Christchurch, Canterbury who have had big earthquakes. Christchurch people would love our sparkly masks!

Planes Day in C6

On our Planes Day we made our own aeroplanes, and we wrote about them. We also drew some fantastic aeroplane pictures with pastels. Come and see them on display in C6.

Teddy Bear Day in C6

We loved having a Teddy Bear Day. The Year 1 children in C6 brought teddy bears to school for the day. We read stories to our bears at reading time. We wrote about our bears at writing time. We made teddy bear pictures at maths time, with circles and ovals. We also put our teddy bears in order from the smallest to the biggest. Then we had a Teddy Bears' picnic at the end of the day.

Pirate Day in C6.

We did lots of different activities on our Pirate Day. We wrote poems about what was in a treasure chest. At maths time we counted coins that pirates had. We listened to stories about pirates, and we made pirate hats too. It was a very interesting day!

Dinosaur Day in C6.

We had fun in C6 on Dinosaur Day. Look at our great Dinosaur writing, drawing and maths work. We dug for Dinosaur bones too. It was a very busy, happy day!
